Rip Curl is a company dedicated to designing and manufacturing surfboards, including custom made ones, that are tailored to the individual surfer’s needs. The company began in 1969 with Doug Warbrick and Brian Singer during the most competitive time for surfboard production in Australia. By giving surfers some of the best boards to ride the waves of Torquay, Victoria, Rip Curl gained in popularity and success. Each custom board has been handcrafted and includes the latest in surfboard technology and design. Today, Rip Curl distributes its surfboards to independent companies and continues to operate numerous stores across the globe.
